In his first year, the Raider Marching band achieved State Semifinals for the second straight year, and achieved the highest placement in school history. The Symphonic Band received a Proficient Rating at the KMEA Third District Concert Band Festival. Mr. Cline is greatly looking forward to improving on these achievements and going even farther with the Warren East High School Band!
Mr. Cline graduated Magna Cum Laude from Western Kentucky University in December, 2007 with a Bachelor of Music degree, and is currently working on a Master of Arts in Education degree, also from WKU.
Prior to coming to Warren East, Mr. Cline served as a Graduate Assistant with the Bands at Western Kentucky University from January 2008 to May 2009. In this role, he was an Assistant Director of the Big Red Marching Band; Co-Director of the Big Red Volleyball Band; and an Assistant Director of the Big Red Basketball Band, where he was responsible for taking groups to San Francisco, CA and Phoenix, AZ with the NCAA Men's & Women's Basketball Tournament in 2008. Mr. Cline completed his student teaching at Warren East High School in the fall of 2007, and has also served as a private lessons instructor for students at Edmonson County High School and the Glasgow Independent Schools. He has performed in the pit orchestra for numerous musical productions. He has also taught band camp at both Warren Central and Warren East High Schools.
A native of Bowling Green, Mr. Cline is a 2002 graduate from Warren Central High School, where he was a 4-year member of the Dragon Band.
